Diabetic Foot Care

People with diabetes are at an increased risk of developing foot problems. Even the smallest issues like a blister or cut could turn into an infection or ulcer if left untreated. Diabetes can also cause nerve damage in the legs and arms which leads to loss of sensation and poor circulation. It is very important for diabetics to have routine foot exams. Here at East Texas Foot and Ankle Centers, we offer a service called At Risk Footcare. This is a great preventative service that involves toenail trimming, callus and corn debridement’s, checking for wounds, and checking for blood flow.
